Education

Dean Scott-Elliott completed her Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education at Northern Caribbean University, Jamaica, in 2003. Later, she advanced her studies by completing two Master’s degrees in Educational Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, both from Andrews University.

 

Biography

Dean Scott-Elliott was born on the sun-filled island of Jamaica where she spent most of her childhood and young adult years. As she grew in her professional roles, she became the Director of International Student Services at Northern Caribbean University, Jamaica, taught in the Department of Education as well as the Department of Behavioral Sciences at the University of the Southern Caribbean, Trinidad, and worked with the Jamaican government's vocational program to help at-risk youth. Impacting meaningful change within the lives of young people has been one of her special foci for her. Memorable youth experiences included ambassador training, choir festivals, camping, AY activities and mentoring programs. Dean Scott-Elliott enjoys traveling, singing, public speaking, training development, volunteerism, outdoor nature activities, and movie/ games night with friends and/or family. Her son, Michael, also resides in Berrien Springs where both continue to be involved in church ministry.
